SoundHound

SoundHound is a free music recognition program that allows you to listen to and discover music pieces. This is one of the first third-party applications to work with Apple's streaming music service in 2015.

Why use SoundHound?

SoundHound is a musical identification application that can tell you everything about a song, whether it listens to music played near you or that you hum a melody that you can't get out of your head. It also comes with an integrated virtual assistant called Hound, which can facilitate the identification and playback of music in the application. Often compared to Shazam, the application allows you to record your discovered songs centrally and generate a Spotify playlist. From its interface, you can search for artists, songs and lyrics, scroll through the main screen of the application to see the best clips, view graphics or even your history to see the songs you have sought or identified. The hands-free functions of the application also allow you to access by simple voice command to playlists of the most popular pieces of the world.

In its latest update, SoundHound added more integration to Apple Music. This version goes to the next level by supporting the automatic creation of Apple Music playlists based on your history. SoundHound is downloadable for free and compatible with Windows 10.
