Dave ULMER gave birth to Geocaching by placing the first GPS-located cache on May 3, 2000. His basic idea has been strengthened over time by the evolution of technology.
Geocaching is an application offered by several services such as Play Store and App Store. It allows you to participate in a treasure hunt with other people all over the world. In concrete terms, the concept of the game is to hunt for caches or geocaches, which are containers made of a few elements of no great value. These are hidden in every corner of the planet. The goal is to find them. Once a geocache is found, the participants are invited to replace the object taken in it by another one that has about the same value.
It is possible to download Geocaching on a smartphone to participate in the game. So far, more than ten million people have already downloaded it on Play Store and the application is also available on iOS. However, it is not available on PC at the moment. Currently, several thousand caches or geocaches are placed around the world. For treasure hunting enthusiasts, this concept is a real success.
