BBC Weather is a weather application representing in miniature the bbc.com/weather platform. It provides accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts for UK cities and towns at any time of the day. These forecasts cover a period of 14 days and are also available for all major cities around the world.
Launched in 2013 by BBC Media Applications Technologies Limited, which has been involved in meteorology since 1922, BBC Weather is free and can be downloaded to mobile phones from the Apple Store or Google Play. With an intuitive and easy-to-read interface, BBC Weather has features that make it easy to use. For example, information about snow, hail and rain can be accessed using the 'risk of precipitation' function.
Similarly, the "like" temperature function is relative to humidity and wind. The "BBC Weather widget" on the mobile phone's home screen provides a weather forecast of the user's current position. In addition, BBC Weather has a function for scheduling weather alerts in a customised way for a specific office or location.
In addition, BBC Weather forecasts can be shared on social networks such as Twitter and Facebook as well as by email. The forecasts are available in text and voice format. The BBC Weather application can only run on Windows PCs through an emulator, as the direct PC version does not exist.
