PhotoMath is an application that can recognize mathematical tasks and solve them instantly, also providing a step-by-step solution. The application was launched in 2014 by Microblink, a company based in Zagreb, Croatia.
Photomath is a mobile application that uses a phone's camera to recognize mathematical equations and display the solution step by step on the screen. Once you've downloaded it, you can take a picture of a math problem with your phone and the application not only solves the problem, it shows you how it was done. Photomath is also able to generate graphs and supports elementary arithmetic problems such as fractions, decimals, linear equations or advanced problems, such as limits, integrations, complex numbers, etc.
Photomath can scan jobs from both paper and screen, but in the second case it may take a little longer. Handwriting, unfortunately, cannot be recognized by the application. Once this step is completed, the resolved examples are stored in a special section where you can see not only the result, but also all the intermediate steps of the resolution process. The application solves approximately 1.2 billion mathematical problems per month.
The application is available for free on Google Android and iOS and can work without Wi-Fi access. Photomath is an extremely successful mobile application with over 100 million downloads to date.
