Lydia is a French mobile payment service that aims to facilitate payments by offering individuals and professionals a useful alternative to traditional payment methods. Lydia is the first application to integrate Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay technologies, making contactless mobile payment accessible to all smartphone owners, regardless of manufacturer.

Originally, users of the application had a single account and were essentially limited to sending, receiving and withdrawing money through peer-to-peer payments. Now, thanks to numerous updates, you can create as many Lydia accounts as you want, move money around, set money aside and top up each account separately. To use the application to send money to someone, simply press the amount on the application, choose "a contact", by selecting the contact in your phonebook, press "Pay" and press your security code. The amount is instantly sent to your contact's Lydia account. Since the transfer is done simply by phone number and email, you won't need the recipient's IBAN code to make the transfer.
