Live Transcribe is a mobile app installed by millions of users since its release in 2019. Developed to help people with hearing problems, it is also used to transcribe voices into text.

What you should know about Live Transcribe & Notification

The app was designed by Google researchers in collaboration with those at Gallaudet University. It offers two main features: sound notification and instant transcription. For the former, you receive messages when particular sounds sound like a siren, a baby's cry or one of the sounds you have customized and recorded. As for transcription, it is done in real time. Over 80 languages and dialects are available.

Your transcriptions are not automatically saved, but are still stored for three days on your mobile. It is possible to search the saved documents. Another advantage is the app's ability to detect sounds like whistling, clapping, laughter, etc. This little instant transcription app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. For the moment, it cannot be used on Windows and Mac PCs.
