Google Keyboard (Gboard) is a smart keyboard that allows you to write faster than average speed with the ability to create and customize gestures. Developed by Google for Android and iOS devices, it was first introduced to the public in May 2016.

Google Keyboard is a fast typing tool from Google with support for 26 languages. The application offers several features including: manual input, voice input, Emoji search, GIF, multilingual input and Google Translation. The built-in keyboards for iOS and Android provide all the basic features for typing text, but if you want more advanced options, you should try the Google keyboard application. Available for iOS and Android devices, Google keyboard allows you to add text by voice, handwriting, or by dragging your finger from one letter to another. Gboard also allows you to search and add emojis, GIFs, and Google search results. As you type, Gboard offers suggestions for completing your current word, but there are other ways to enter text. Gboard also sends your searches to Google's web servers to provide you with search results.

In June 2017, the Android application was updated to support recognition of hand-drawn emoji and the ability to predict whole sentences rather than single words. The functionality is expected to arrive on the iOS application at a later date.
