On February 28, 2017, Microsoft and Xbox head Phil Spencer launched the Xbox Game Pass app. This service allows gamers to access a catalog of over 100 games for a monthly subscription fee. It has been called "the Netflix of video games".

The Xbox Game Pass app is accessible on Windows PC, iOS and Android devices. Simply download the app, choose your monthly subscription, and then download your favorite games. Microsoft's service is available at very reasonable prices, with Xbox Game Pass for console and computer at the same price of £9.99 per month. There is also the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at 12.99 euros per month which offers the possibility to play Xbox games on PC, console and even mobile thanks to streaming.
Xbox Game Pass currently has over 200 games on Xbox One, over 200 games on PC and over 100 Xbox games playable on mobile. Players can download and install an unlimited number of games. According to Xbox head Phil Spencer, Xbox Game Pass aims to give gamers "continuous and faithful play without worrying about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues.
