Sky+, this application developed by Sky UK Limited, is a management panel for all your Sky programmes and films. Released on 3rd September 2001, it allows you to browse through all your Sky+ HD content by connecting directly to the Sky+ box in your home. This personal video recorder also allows you to set downloads and recordings.

To access the record function and to be able to download programmes to a Sky+ HD box, you need to enter your Sky ID on the recording service. Then just follow the instructions and you can start recording what you want. Although recording is free, there may be a connection fee.

If your compatible Sky+ HD box and your software are connected to the same Wi-Fi network then you can even view the photos from your device on your TV screen. This software also acts as a remote control. It allows you to pause, fast forward, rewind, switch channels, turn on and off your box. You can create your own TV guide, manage your recordings, and delete the ones you don't like without interrupting your current viewing. Available on iPhone and iPad, this Android application runs on iOS. Use an Android emulator to install it on Windows. You can then use your PC as a phone. Sky+ can be downloaded for free from Google Play.
